elizabeth grace hand is the founder of ställe studios, a treatment focused facial studio in soho, new york known for its highly customized, results driven approach to skin. she began her career in fashion before joining l’oréal to work for corrective cosmetics brand dermablend, where she collaborated with top dermatologists, estheticians and plastic surgeons across the country on best practices for treating skin conditions including acne, rosacea and melasma. while working there, inspired by her own lifelong battle with acne, elizabeth enrolled at new york’s christine valmy international school to deepen her understanding of skin and graduated with honors. although she initially pursued esthetics to expand her knowledge, she quickly fell in love with the treatment side of skincare and shifted her focus fully into facials and clinical skin work.
she later joined the dr. barbara sturm team, helping support the launch of the brand at sephora while building sales and training programs. she also became part of the founding roster for dr. barbara sturm’s first spa team, where she became highly sought after for her sculpting, corrective and glow focused treatments. elizabeth has additionally consulted as a medical esthetician for leading dermatologists and helped develop facial programs for multiple spas and medical spas.
in 2021, elizabeth founded ställe studios, which has since become recognized as one of new york’s leading facial destinations. since opening, she has been invited to join the violet grey curation committee and has contributed expert commentary to publications including vogue, coveteur, harper’s bazaar, marie claire, bustle, hypebae, the wall street journal, women’s wear daily, business of fashion, into the gloss and instyle. her work and approach to skin have also been featured by outlets including goop and new york magazine for her distinct perspective on skin health, lifting treatments and modern facial techniques.

sophia diane kraft
esthetician
sophia is a board certified new york state esthetician at ställe whose work explores the relationship between skin, nervous system regulation, and sensory experience. informed by neuroaesthetics, her approach considers how touch, environment, and beauty influence both emotional state and visible skin function.
after years of navigating eczema herself, she became deeply compelled by the skin’s complexity and its ability to reflect shifts in inflammation, stress, and internal balance. her treatments are centered on regulation, repair, and long term skin integrity through precise, high performance formulas that support the skin without excess.
at the center of her work is the belief that we have more agency over our skin and wellbeing than we are often taught to believe, and that skincare can become a way of participating more consciously in how we feel and move through the world.
